AUSWIDE MOTORHOME CLUB INC

The inaugural meeting where Auswide Motorhome Club was officially launched was at Upper Yarra - near Warburton in Victoria  on 20th & 21st March 1999.
The initial proposal from Ally & Roger Keegan to National Committee to form a branch  was at Leeton on 24th October 1999.
The formation meeting for the Hunter Valley Venturers was at Walka Water Works - Maitland on Saturday 27th November 1999.
Ally Keegan nominated President/ Treasurer  and Margaret Jacobs Secretary.
Hunter Valley Venturers main membership is comprised from the Hunter Valley to Central Coast - to Manning Valley areas and usually meet for weekends (Fri - Sun.) on the first weekend of each month  -  the occasional exception being to fit in with special functions or events.  All venues are published in advance in the bi-monthly  "Grapevine"  magazine which is posted to all financial members.  (See HVV  venues on Website )
Visitors are welcome at all meeting venues and should contact HVV Secretary Allan Bush on 4954 6191  or President Ron Doherty on 4942 2220 for further information.
Other National Branch members are also most welcome to  visit anytime and experience the "Hospitality" of HVV.

The Auswide Motorhome Club Inc.is a “not-for-profit” organisation, set up for the benefit of folks who own a vehicle which satisfies the requirements of the rules of the club. A qualifying vehicle includes motorhomes, fifth wheelers and slide-ons.

All officers and committee members at both National and Branch levels are volunteers, who are re-imbursed for actual expenses incurred in their duties.

The club is continuing to grow steadily and has branches in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria with members in all States and the ACT.

The club structure is for all members to belong to a branch, and the branches decide changes to Policy, Rules, Code of Conduct etc. for resolution by National Committee.  Should that body not resolve an issue to the satisfaction of the membership, the matter would go to a General Meeting for decision.

The club magazine “The Grapevine” is published bi-monthly,   with   a   newsletter   to   each  branch

should President and Secretary in the alternate months. The magazine is a vehicle for communication and entertainment. It does not publish items which be dealt with by the branches, the National Committee or a General Meeting.

The way to join is similar to that of many other clubs. Interested people are welcome to come to any branch gathering and, if they think it might suit them, discuss with the branch members and committee about joining.

The club does not have an insurance scheme of its own, but competitive insurance for motorhomes, campervans and all other vehicles is available for Auswide members and others from:-

OAMPS Insurance Brokers,

P. O. Box 565,  Warragul   Vic    3820
